Healthy Cooking Sessions

Join our Peer Health Educator (PHE) volunteers for a 60-90 minute interactive cooking session to learn how to prepare a quick, easy, inexpensive and healthy recipe.  Upon registration, students will receive the location, time and safety details.  All students are welcome, regardless of your skill level in the kitchen.

Cost: $10.00 per student, includes an appetizer, entre and dessert and sometimes leftovers!

*Registration is only open for 1 date at a time and will only display 1 week in advance to the session date.

Interested in paying it forward?

Healthy Cooking sessions are able be provided at a low-cost of $10.00 because of grants & funds from Student Wellness Services. We have introduced a new pay it forward cost model:

- Standard price ($10)
- Pay-it-forward price ($15)

By clicking on the pay it forward option, you will donate $5 to departments on campus addressing food insecurity. Funds collected will be donated to either the (1) Alma Mater Society (AMS) Food Bank or (2) Community Cupboard, Faculty of Education, West Campus. The funds will be used to cover restocking on food items and/or for operational costs. We will contact you with an update when the donation is made. Thank you for supporting students facing food insecurity on campus!
