Fresh Food Box Program

Peer Health Educator (PHE) volunteers put together Fresh Food Boxes for students to order and pick up on campus. Boxes contain all the fresh produce and key ingredients to prepare a quick, easy and healthy recipe which makes approximately 4 servings and cost $5 per student.

Students will be sent pick-up time, location and recipe upon registration. If the pick-up time presents as an accessibility barrier, please email peerwell@queensu.ca to discuss alternate arrangements.

*Note registration is only open for 1 date at a time and will only display 1 week in advance to the session date.*

Interested in paying it forward?

Fresh Food Boxes are able be provided at a low-cost of $5.00 because of grants & funds from Student Wellness Services. We have introduced a new pay it forward cost model:

- Standard price ($5)
- Pay-it-forward price ($10)

By clicking on the pay it forward option, you will donate $5 to departments on campus addressing food insecurity. Funds collected will be donated to either the (1) Alma Mater Society (AMS) Food Bank or (2) Community Cupboard, Faculty of Education, West Campus. The funds will be used to cover restocking on food items and/or for operational costs. We will contact you with an update when the donation is made. Thank you for supporting students facing food insecurity on campus!
